Radnor

I have been visiting Radnor Lake State Park since I was a kid. My earliest memories of the park are of trips with my grandmother. I remember how her car smelled on the drive to the park, the muffled sound and soft feel of the freshly chipped wood on the lake trail, the songs and calls of the countless species of birds. And I remember the ridge trail (it was her favorite). As a kid, hiking the ridge felt like being on the other side of the world on some wild adventure.

Decades later, this is still the place I visit when I need to reset. When I need to feel like time is standing still — just for a bit. To escape into another world where all the stress of daily life doesn’t exist. To enjoy the privilege of existing in such a beautiful space.

These photos are my attempt at celebrating the beauty of this park and what it means to me and so many others.
